Hello World: Why I'm Writing Here

This blog is a running account of how I actually use AI tools — not theory, not hype, but the real day-to-day.

I’ve spent most of my career in applied text analytics and have been using AI-powered tools to help further my understanding of AI. For instance, I’ve built a concert discovery app, a fantasy football win probability tracker, a Raspberry Pi music box for my kid, and this very blog using Claude Code. All of this is for personal usage and to further my own understanding.

The tools are real. The projects are real. The lessons — including the mistakes — are real.

What you’ll find here:

  • Projects I’m building with AI and what I learned building them
  • Workflow systems that actually work (and the ones that didn’t)
  • Honest takes on AI tools: what they’re good at, where they fall short
  • Practical approaches for using AI in compliance-heavy environments

No credentials-dropping. No “AI will transform everything” takes. Just field notes from someone who uses these tools every day.

First real post is coming soon.
